what a wonderful fly to be able to have for inspiration, although not mounted as yet I am in the middle of creating a shadow box to be able to display this half and half with pride, absolutely stoked, thank you.
I just happened to stumble upon this wonderful item while looking for a particular tying material and knew it would make the perfect gift for a special friend who is in essence my fly-fishing mentor, unfortunately his health has been declining over the past few years and being a prodigious photographer as well knew this would be the ideal thing to help lift his spirits being tied and photographed by the great man (Bob Clouser) himself. It is now hanging proudly on his wall with pride, job done.
I used the EP shrimp dub brush to tie some frog-style flies.
It was the perfect color and width for those flies.
I will probably order more to tie some flies as giveaways at the FFFA event at Bass Pro in January.
Worked well at grand slam lodge inMexico. Caught several young tarpon.
